My Name is Bob Jacobs. My most important half is Kim and is with me in the photo. I was a Practice Manager for an inner city medical Practice in Leicester (Leicestershire, United Kingdom), prior to my retirement in July 2003. I had been doing that for almost ten years, before which I was Computer Manager for Fisons plc (Scientific Equipment Division [now Fisher Scientific]) in Loughborough (Leicestershire. United Kingdom). I am 70 years of age and have been involved with Computers for the last 37 years.

I live part of my time in Leicester and the remainder in a very pleasant valley near Sax in Spain, where I write my own web sites and get my internet connectivity via a microwave link. I have been collecting Matchbox Labels since 1951.

I believe that our hobby should have categories that can be used as a guide by collectors and be known and accepted by them. Whilst I appreciate that Matchbox label collecting should not be regimented, but be open to interpretation by collectors in whatever way they think fit, I think that a Category guide would a useful tool for many people. Perhaps similar to that in the US for MatchCover collectors.
